I began thinking about what could complement "VITRUVIUS" when displayed beside it. The memory of visiting Mount Vesuvius years earlier came to mind– the haunting quiet of Pompeii, the overwhelming sense of destruction frozen in time. "VESUVIUS" felt right. It carried the same connection to my Italian heritage and offered a visual counterpoint: an eruption of color radiating from the edges, while the center remains still and serene, like the calm eye within a storm.
