With To Be Looked At…, Weiwei flips the camera back on the viewer. Cut from solid aluminum, this multi-directional bank of pseudo-CCTV cameras can be wall-mounted or displayed on a surface. It carries his signature dry humor: installed inside private homes, the sculpture turns art collectors into the subjects of an inescapable, modern gaze.
